We wish we could answer that question, just as we expect you all do too. The truth is, we don't know where we are going to be a in a few weeks' time but we have been making plans on how to cope with what might happen.
All of the below is conjecture and may be subject to change, depending on how the situation unfolds. We'll be sure to keep everybody updated via Instagram so check there for the latest information.
What if we have to go in to another national lock-down?
If we are facing another national lock-down we would expect the shop to have to close. However we wouldn't have to close the website this time so would hope to continue to take and despatch online orders. Thanks to our new workshop space the team would be able to work safely, although we may need some of the crew to shield so our capacity for production and orders may not be 100%.
What if the shop closes?
If the shop closes we may be able to offer our click and collect service, depending on the restrictions in place at the time. If click and collect isn't able to operate then all orders would need to be posted. Our team who work in the shop would be able to join other departments and maintain their normal hours.
I'm a stockist, can I continue to purchase candles?
If you're one of our wonderful stockists we will do whatever we can to support you. If you have to switch to selling online we will approve that, even if you haven't been permitted to retail the candles online before. We hope to keep our wholesale operation running as normal.
What about postage?
Royal Mail has been under an immense amount of pressure since the pandemic began. We would encourage our customers to upgrade to DPD Local for their delivery, if they are able to. We may once again experience delays with Royal Mail deliveries. Sadly these are outside of our control and if you need an order by a specific date we would recommend selecting DPD Local for your delivery.
Will subscriptions continue?
We hope to continue our subscription service if another lock-down is put in place. We understand how important the small luxuries are and will do everything in our power to keep subscriptions running.
Will you still be launching your Winter range?
Our Winter Light range of candles will still be launched as planned, along with our range of Christmas gift boxes. We may experience supply issues throughout the winter but will do our best to keep everybody updated.
