Stoneware Cutlery Drainer
Inspired by rustic French cheese moulds, this cutlery drainer has been given higher sides, making it the perfect home for freshly washed implements. Handmade by Polly from Bliss Mill Studio.
You choose between a plain glossy glaze or the charmingly relaxed green flecks - hand applied by the makers. The trio of feet keep this elevated, ensuring that water can drain away and the cutlery drains effectively.
You could also use this as a utensil holder or as a home for candle - the hand-cut holes would cast a beautiful pattern.
Wheel-thrown from stoneware clay that's rich in iron, the firing process brings out deep coloured flecks in the finished piece. Adding character and depth that's akin to an object far older than these are.
Dimensions (as each is handmade they may vary a little): 12cm W X 14cm H

I bought this over a year ago (yes, I'm very late to the reviews party), but I wanted to just say how lovely and how versatile this 'drainer' is. I don't use it as a drainer, but as both a candle holder (when I do have guests, especially with kids and enquisative little fingers) and as a pot holder for my washing up liquid and washing up brush. It sits next to a green spikey plant, by my sink, and looks gorgeous. Who doesn't need a bit o' green in their lives, and one that multi-tasks too. Fabulous!
