Spring Match Pots by Steven Jenkins
Steven Jenkins is an illustrator, print maker, potter, teacher and author whose studio is just over the hills from us in Frome, Somerset.
For the Spring time, Steven's turned his brush this beautiful collection of match pots.
Each piece is fired once before being decorated by hand. The resulting little pots are full of life and charm. Steven's work is slab-built from terracotta clay before he paints on his beautifully characterful designs in sepia-toned browns, pinks, and shades of blue slip. The inside of the Oak & Acorn pot is a blushing pink and the Dove is a teal.
Once they reach us, we add a striking sticker to the base of each pot and then fill them with extra-long safety matches with white tips. Once you've used all the matches you can refill your pot here. Your pot will contain approximately 125 extra-long safety matches.
