Earlier this year, Kate got in touch with the wonderful news that she was collaborating with The Charleston Trust, just a stone’s throw from her home in West Sussex.
She has created a collection inspired by the floral and botanical motifs often found in the work of Vanessa Bell - original resident of Charleston Farmhouse and a central figure in the Bloomsbury Group.
Named ‘Nessa’, the collection includes mugs, milk jugs, candle holders and tealight holders.
Each piece is crafted from characterful stoneware clay rich in iron - you can see the dark flecks across the surface, giving the pottery a grounding, earthy quality. This sturdy base is beautifully softened by Kate’s hand-painted patterns and the gentle tones of her glazes.
